OUR NURSERY

The Nursery is open 51 weeks of the year, closing for a week at Christmas and all statutory bank holidays, for which there is no charge.

We have sing and sign sessions, as well as visits over the year varying from puppet shows to companies who may bring in a variety of animals, or even different sporting opportunities. Our Pre-School children visit the 'Forest School' run by NCC every year.

A healthy breakfast, lunch and tea are provided, as well as mid-morning and afternoon snack. All our food is home cooked and prepared with children's dietary needs in mind. We do not add sugar or salt to any of our meals or snacks and we ensure that we offer fruit and vegetables as often as possible. If your child has any dietary requirements, please inform the managers.

The nursery is registered and inspected by Ofsted Early Years, and is registered with the Government for nursery funding for two, three and four year olds.

We are registered, and take payment for all childcare vouchers.

A Happy Family and Much More.....

This is a family owned and run Nursery with high standards and values. The family run the business on a daily basis and have a strong and highly qualified team of nursery nurses who work extremely hard to maintain these high standards. We are very proud of what we achieve.

Our Aim

Our aim is to provide the best possible care with a homely and caring atmosphere where you can feel relaxed and confident in leaving your children in our care. We believe we offer a home from home ethos where each parent provides us with a detailed 'all about' form, which we then us to facilitate each child's individual needs and requirements, we believe it's essential for children to be happy in order to learn. The majority of children settle with us very quickly, but on occasion this can take a little longer and we take care in offering a warm and understanding approach where your child will be cuddled and soothed until they are ready to join us.

We provide stimulating activities in all areas of your child's development following the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our outdoor area brings the indoor learning environment outdoors, including 'Messy Maths' a 'Creation Station' for literacy, a 'Bug Hotel' for understanding the natural world and a 'Mud Kitchen' to enhance all areas of the imagination.

Our indoor activities cover all areas of learning and they range from using computer skills to enhancing gross and fine motor skills. The children are encouraged to make their own choices alongside our carefully planned activities that promote and enhance children's learning and development. Children's learning and level of development are carefully recorded on 'Tapestry' an online learning journal which parents can access and add to whenever they choose.
